Absinthe 2.0.4

I will be upgrading to the GS now soon and i have VERSION: 5.1.1 (9B206) running and sim is locked to ATT by what the IMEI says. Is Absinthe the easiest method to use for jailbreak and unlock? Ive already downloaded and unzipped it and ready for my phone to arrive this week.

On 5.1.1, yes. It's literally unarchive, run, run the new application in the new folder created, clicko n the Jailbreak button, and done.

Ok ty sir. Now is unlock just as easy? Do i even need to unlock it its locked to sim. ATT and i plan on doing gophone later

Unlocking is separate from jailbreaking. Plus, GoPhone is part of AT&T, so you don't need to unlock it unless your 3GS is not from AT&T for some reason.

I cant seem to see if this is for ATT but i was told it is. IMEI 01 257500 944801 7

Unless the device has an international origin, it's AT&T only when it comes to the 3G and 3GS.
