4S bluetooth problems. Won't work handsfree but husbands Android does :(

I am able to pair and connect my phone and everything works however its not letting me use the handsfree function. The caller ID works but I have to actually pick up my phone to speak to someone instead. I had it working about 2 weeks ago and now all of a sudden it doesn't. Have I done something to trigger this?
