Yet another zombie game arrives in the App Store for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch today in the shuffling and moaning shape of Zombie Crisis 3D, an on-rails shooter action game from Chinese developer KongZhong. As frequently happens in zombie game land, a bio-accident has turned the hapless staff at a company called the Argo Company into bloodthirsty zombies. A female mercenary soldier called Dana is given the order to investigate the goings on at the lab, from which point the fun really begins!
Instead of opting for the more traditional joystick-based FPS approach, Zombie Crisis 3D lets the player focus on the action in time-honoured on-rails gaming tradition, rather than bothering with such pesky distractions as movement or weapon control.
There are 21 maps in all for you to explore as you battle hundreds of zombies and four big bosses. You will also have three weapons at your disposal: pistol, shotgun and machine gun.
As you can see from the screenshot the game is actually pretty gory with a strong horror theme, hence the 12+ age rating, so not one for the younguns, or the squeamish!
If you think you can handle it, you can download Zombie Crisis 3D here for $2.99. Its getting some great customers reviews so far.
