Yahoo Mail App Gets Package Tracking With New Update

Yahoo has updated its iOS Mail app with some new features today, according to 9to5 Mac.

The most significant new feature is the ability to track packages for online purchases without having to leave the app. This is part of Yahoo’s aim of integrating some of its key services, such as news, weather and magazines, according to 9to5 Mac.

While the package tracking service doesn’t work for all retailers, the list of those who are onboard is fairly long, including the likes of Amazon, eBay, Zappos, Target, Best Buy, Macy’s.com, and many others.

Other new features include being able to customize the Today view, plus horoscopes, flight notification support from Orbitz and Cheap Tickets. Here’s what Yahoo had to say about the Today view customization feature:

“We even added the much-requested ability to sort and select the type of content in your “Today” section to make it even more personalized. By clicking on the gear icon on the top left corner, you will see a new “Edit Yahoo Today” option for you to pick and choose what you’d like to see, including News Digest, Sports, Weather, Horoscope, Finance, Screen and Flickr.”
