Wifi Only?

I'm traveling out of the country over christmas and want to be able to use the free wifi at the resort but not worry about any huge charges for data usage out of country.... can this be done? i know about airplane mode but that shuts both wifi and 3g off right?

You can have airplane mode on and use wifi.

Excellent, Jmpx.... I never knew we could go to Airplane Mode and still use wi-fi! I'll bet others didn't know either, but it works! Thanks!!!

Last year, my wife and I visited Montreal. I kept my wifi on so that when I wanted to access data wifi was the first option. I did not incur any additional fees.
