Nope, not free. $.99 in the App Store. It's cross platform instant messaging, like BBM but available for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, etc.

I use it as it is free, but there can sometimes be a delay of hours until the recipient receives the message!

I've only seen Whatsapp delays once or twice in heavy use for the last year or so. Its very stable and reliable

I got mine when it was free about 6 months ago. Its good app as most of my friends are on blackberry and androids.

Always been free as far as I have known about it. Live Profile does the same thing and is FREE
