what to do with this iphone 4?

hi guys and girls, im new here so here it goes, ive bought this iphone 4 16gb off a friend of a friend of a friend its been around its on 3 network (uk) its 4.2.1 and 3.10.1 baseband not unlockable yet if im right? ive jailbroken it but rumor has it its been stolen so dont know if its been blacklisted so i dont want it if thats the truth.Was really looking forward to putting my orange micro sim in it but says sim failed, so what do i do with it? its just a ipod touch at the moment, any ideas? thank you.

Return it to the original oner, and get your money back from a friend of a friend of your friend and keep your pride nikel.

if you go on the web, there's a website you can pay £3 to find out if the phone's listed as stolen, (can't mention names but google is your friend) just because orange sim dons't work dosn't mean it's listed stolen, most phones from 3 are locked (especially if it's 3 branded on the case)
