What are you using AI for?

Since we are soon to be getting a new version of Siri, I thought it might be interesting to see what members are already doing with AI, and how the updated Siri changes what you do and how you do it.

Anybody who is using the public betas is welcome to chip in with their experiences.

I'll kick it off with some of what I've been doing lately:

Image generation. Both original images and visualizations to assist with creative writing.

Creative writing. Grammar, spelling, plot, causality, all sorts of useful stuff.

Fact checking. It's amazing how much we accept as fact, without considering the speaker's prejudices and bias.

Leopold Mozart gets some composition help from his son, Wolfgang.

Wolfgang visits the Sistine Chapel with the intention of procuring his own copy of Allegri's Miserere. The story is well documented and quite interesting.

Black album art is notoriously difficult to photograph. This is a rare recording and the art is not easy to find online, so I was forced to use a photograph:

As you can see, the results are not impressive. So I uploaded the image to AI and asked it to tidy things up a bit:

It's easy to see the improvement.

I'm usually doing research and as you said fact checking stuff, some photo enhancements, though I use Siri my heavy lifting comes from Google Gemini flash, if I'm doing research comes in helpful. Recently I was in the market for a new SUV it helped with a lot of my decisions in crunching numbers and making a smart choice for financing. Researching is my main use case but most definitely you have to use other avenues to check and confirm stuff.

I've been diagnosed with something nasty so been using AI to try and find out mot=re about it though I'm not sure it's a great idea, AI makes mistakes ....
I find it useful for finding out more about my hobbies, historical info...
Very handy for working out tricky measurements when I'm doing restorations, it can get them down to the millimetre....
Many other uses, AI is so handy as long as you remember it can make mistakes...

Sorry to hear about that.

Yes, it can definitely make mistakes and is extremely prone to bias.
