Way to use desktop keyboard to type in iPhone?

Is there a way to use my desktop or any USB keyboard to type in my iPhone? Mainly want to use it for WhatsApp

I know that the Apple Wireless Keyboard works perfectly with the iPhone and iPad, so I'm guessing that a USB keyboard can be paired and work as expected.

Bluetooth keyboard... I have a Typo case which is a BB keyboard.

There is an app available for the Mac called Type2Phone which will allow you to use your Mac KB to type on your iPad/iPhone. It works well. Don't know whether there is a Windows version.
