Thank you all

I hope you enjoy the app.

Never having had any success with dictation converters like dragon dictate, even now when i ask my iPhone to dial my wife i get random results.

Being constructive seems many such programs fail ti handle accents, mine is strong East London mixed with Essex.

You claim 22 languages, will that mean i'll get translations from English to French?

The Voice to apps can handle 22 languages it means if you're british then you will have to choose English Uk at the start or later. it does only translate your voice to text that you can use in many differents apps such as sms, email, facebook, twitter or iMessage you can also do a copy and send it to doc2to etc.. I hope that i answered your question.

If you like it can you please give us a review.

Thank you and wish you an excellent day

Is the app really able to hang with long periods of speech? Does it really get the words right that you are speaking better than say Dragon dictation app?

As you have shown care are and responded i have down loaded the app.

Time constraints means i won't get to test it out fairly until the weekend. I run small business and do all my own typing for quotes etc, this kind of app - if working properly - could be a serious boon.

I really hope it can handle customised words as used in my trades being added, also speech when paused (as above).

I will report back on it.

For those checking this thread out, they should be aware like other some other app's it needs either G3 or wireless internet to work, so a good connection to your device would be advisable.

At least it won't add to people dictating notes on the train or bus :).

Well i was not disappointed by being expectedly disappointed,

i write specifications for security systems, they are repetitive and designed so any engineer can follow the intended design as if using brail.

short example

Zone 1. Final Exit Route
One surface magnetic contact attached to the external front door

Zone 2. Entry Exit Route
One passive infra red detector located to the hall far right hand corner at a height of 2.4 meters

Zone 3.
One Gardtec Risco GTX passive infra red detector installed to the kitchen in the near left hand corner at a height of 2.4 meters.

translation -

Long one.
One servicemen who contact attached to the external front door.

Long term.
One facet incorrectly set up located in the park right hand corner of the hall at the height of 2.4 m.

Zone 31 classic incorrect detector located in the mouth in the far right hand corner at the height of 2.4 m.

One as it incorrectly set up located in the kitchen at my 2.4 m in the file (

Apart from translating Zone as a 'long one' (not wishing to boast) and many other mistakes, you only get about 30 seconds per sound clip recording time, then it stops - highly irritating to say the least as a decent pause or stutter and you will only get a couple of words before it times out.

when done it offers to send to email Facebook, Twitter and sms/message and copy??.. where you use from there beats me. but no options for notebook docstogo or Evernote, no option to add to the dictionary. so writing a letter or email to say your great aunt fanny i dare not try what it might suggest as a spelling for her name.

it's at best work in progress and worse a total waste of money, i might as well employ my text speaking grandson, i will be asking for refund
