Whenever I record a 2 minute or 3 minute video my battery drops 3% or sometimes 5% is this normal o.o

Yes, its normal. You have everything turned on basically. Screen, Processor ramps up, memory is fully utilized, etc.

So yes, it dies a tad faster.

A 2mn video to drop 5% of the power of your battery, it's not really normal IMO. For 60mn of video record you will then need 150% of battery power. And i remember reading on apple website or somewhere that video recoring can go up to 4h on the iPhone4.
So here you might have someother thing running in the background while at the same time making a video recording and so all the process hugging up your battery. Try to close all running apps in the background and then try to shot a video for 2mn see it it will drop 3 to 5% again or not?

I take videos of hockey games ( elapsed time 60 to 90 minutes with no problem on my iPhone 4S.

I have something over 500 GB of video file of games as a result.

If your battery consumption does not allow such a length of time, strat turning off other things until it does. More simply, turn off everting that you can figure out how to turn it off. Then it will for sure work.
