I ordered (2) 16GB iPhones on the 3rd. I had a Droid X before this and always got at least 4 bars of signal. We live in a small town of 26,000 people. Our iPhone's signal is usually around 1-2 bars. I have zero problems with mine receiving/making calls, sending/receiving texts or web browsing. My wife's phone is a different story. She drops 2-3 calls per day when making calls from our house. Anywhere else in town seems to be just fine. I just thought it was strange how 2 alike phones could be so different when calling from the same place.

The iPhones antenna isn't the best so I'm not surprised you don't get as good a signal as you normally would on other phones.

I would try resetting the network settings on your wires phone see if that helps. You will loose any saved wifi passwords so you will need to enter them back in.

If the problem persists I would contact your carrier...
