Upgrading from 5.1 to 5.1.1

I recently purchased an Iphone 4s (turbosim) V5.1 and i would like to jailbreak it and upgrade it to 5.1.1

Can anyone explain or show me how can i do it ?

Would appreciate the help!

What's your modem firmware?
Find it in settings>general>about>modem firmware..

In iTunes hit restore, that will install 5.1.1 for you. Then you can jailbreak with Absinthe or Redsn0w.

He's currently using a turbosim. That doesn't change anything?

I don't know anything about Turbo Sim but Gevey Ultra S works on all iPhone4S basebands and firmwares. Either way it doesn't matter because there's no way to preserve your baseband when updating a 4S, so if he wants to update to 5.1.1 he's going to have to update his baseband.

Are you using "Turbosim" to Unlock your 4S?

I'm not sure if Turobsim supports iOS 5.1.1 or the 02.0.12 BB. Check w/ the manufacturer to see if these are supported.

dreamcast... did you look into whether or not Turbosim supports iOS 5.1.1 and the 2.0.12 4S Baseband?
