unlocked iphone from USA to use in South Korea with SK Telecom

Hello,

My name is Michael. I have a question regarding the purchase of an unlocked iPhone5. I would like to purchase an unlocked iPhone5 in the USA (or Germany) and use it for about 12 months in South Korea with SK Telecom. After that it will be used in the USA with T-Mobile.
I believe that SK Telecom uses the GSM Network. I do not know the LTE band, wich is used over there. Will a USA (or German) purchased iPhone5 work on LTE (or at all) in South Korea?

That would depend. In most cases, the 5 does not support the LTE bands in foreign countries. Some don't, some do. And yes it'll work since the iPhone 5 is a dual band phone like the 4S. As long as its unlocked (easily unlocked) it'll work
