Turning off camera shutter sound

Is there a setting someplace to turn off the imitation shutter sound in Camera or the other camera replacement apps? I can't find one in their settings or the system settings. I can turn off the switch on the side but usually forget to turn it back on. I think that ringing is a "mission critical" issue for a phone!

I feel your pain, but i've searched this issue and the answer i've come up with is....No. You cannot shut of the shutter sound independently.

Also have looked for this but seems only way is to put phone to silent and then take shots.
