Trying to use iPhone5 as storage for my other devices

So I have and iPhone5 and an iPad mini, both 16 gig. Recently I discovered how awesome it is to have some of my favorite tv shows with me on the go. I quickly maxed out the 16 gigs of storage on my iPad. I want to use my iPhone as a storage device and the content on it via bluetooth, wifi, ext... without downloading any of the content to my iPad. is this possible? If not, what could services let you watch video's over the air? iCloud and SkyDrive(Microsoft) dont seem to allow this. (For obvious reasons....
