i have a court date approaching and need to have my texts messages from a person transferred to a word doc or excel or paint? Is there an easy way to do this? Without losing the dates, who said which text in the conversation, and not compromising the date and time stamp?

Welcome to iPhoneForums!

What about taking screenshots of the messages?
It's possible to put these to a Pages file, I'm sure you'll also be able to get them to a Word document.
They can't be edited as text files, but I suppose that won't be necessary.

Hope that helps.

I thought about that, but will take me forever! I have months of texts
It will be the inevitable, just hoping a techie may have a solution that's les time consuming. Thanks

The only other way I've heard of would be to use software on a computer to extract them. I don't know how reliable these are, or if they really do what you expect, so I can't tell you which one would work. Sorry!

I hope someone else will have a solution for your problem.

Have you talked to your cell carrier? Maybe they can help...

Is there any reason why you can't take the iPhone to court and show the text messages that way. If not, your lawyer should be able to help get a court acceptable print out of the relevant text messages.
