Could T-Mobile USA soon be getting the iPhone? 9to5 Mac has a report today that suggests that it may well be, as it has discovered that T-Mobile USA has just started selling Micro SIM cards that it says in its marketing are ideal for an iPhone that you need to activate. T-Mobile already told 9to5 Mac in June that the network hosts more than one million unlocked iPhones, so they have clearly decided to tap into that market themselves and actively market their micro SIMs to those people with unlocked iPhones who want to use T-Mobile. Of course if AT&Ts proposed merger with T-Mobile USA goes ahead, then you can count on it that T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone, if it hasnt already done so by the time that the merger is approved. It has to be said though, that the merger is far from a done deal, as Sprint have officially opposed it, and a Democratic Senator has also called for the merger to be blocked.
