Snapchat Launches On-Demand Geofilters

Snapchat has announced that it is launching On-Demand Geofilters after hearing from many of its users that they wanted to use Geofilters for their business or private event.

On-Demand Geofilters can be used to create and publish a Geofilter for a party, wedding, business premises, or any other type of event or place.

Here’s a checklist from Snapchat that explains exactly how On-Demand Geofilters work:

Design — Use your favorite image editor to create a filter. We’ve also provided some templates that are compatible with Photoshop and Illustrator to get you started

Map — Pick a geofence where your filter will appear, then choose the time and dates you want your Geofilter to be available.

Buy — Submit your Geofilter. Our team will quickly review it and, assuming all is well, get it up and running.

On-Demand Geofilters are available to purchase for an hour or up to 30 days, and pricing starts at $5, with additional charges depending on a variety of factors including the size of your geofence, and chosen time period for your event. At the moment On-Demand Geofilters are only available in the US, UK, and Canada, but Snapchat says that more locations are coming soon.
