Shuffling music

I have a new iPhone 4 after the other stopped connecting to Internet. I I have down loaded all my music and now am unable to play any of it, if I tap on a song the screen comes up and shuffles straight to another song and keeps shuffling without playing anything. Any ideas? Everything else is fine. Thank you
