Just set up new iPhone 5 from iCloud (as backup of iPhone 4). Noticed it said restore did not finish and all info may not be on iPhone.
I clicked stop restore (had been over a day and was not doing anything).
I notice the day before app icons came back but I had to force the app to load. Looks like everything is there.
But to be safe I deleted the iCloud backup and did new backup.
How do I make sure the backup to iCloud is good.
