Hot on the heels of Capcom releasing what has proved to be the wildly successful Smurfs Village, SEGA has today released its first ever freemium MMO game for iPhone and iPod touch to the App Store. Kingdom Conquest was developed by SEGA of Japan exclusively for iPhone and iPod touch, and puts you in the shoes of an adventurer with an eye on the empty throne of Magna, the Land of Monsters. Gameplay involves allying with, and defending against, other would-be kings, expanding your territory via resource management, and combat in two different gameplay modes Simulation Mode and Action Mode. As you might expect, in-app purchases are a major feature of the game, with players buying access to Charge Points which help you to boost your progress in a variety of ways, such as increased treasury storage capacity and faster gathering of resources.
You can download the game for free here from the App Store.
(Note that the game has an age rating of 9+).
