Screen is displaying apple icon and will not work

Hi Forum, I have the Iphone 4 (new) was downloading latest upgrades and answered a call. Screen now locked on the apple icon and now will not work. Cannot turn it off is there a way of re-booting it? Cheers D

First try holding home and sleep wake for 10seconds(soft reset). Then if that doesn't get it follow this link.

Hi Dannyboy, just brilliant, did soft re-set and phone is now restoring and upgrading.
