MacRumors reports today that according to The Wall Street Journal, the forthcoming iPhone 8 will have a curved OLED display produced by Samsung. This ties in with other recent reports from KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo who has said that Apple will be launching three iPhones this year: a “10th Anniversary Edition” iPhone 8, as well as an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.

The Wall Street Journal said that it had heard from sources familiar with the matter that Apple would be using a flexible display for one of the new iPhones, and has already ordered enough components to mass produce the phone.

The Wall Street Journal source also says that the iPhone 8 will not have a home button, and will instead have a touch-enabled area at the bottom of the phone. Once again, this also backs up a previous report by Ming-Chi Kuo.

While this is not new information, it is certainly interesting to have it all but confirmed by a publication such as the The Wall Street Journal. The WSJ also has some new details about the iPhone 8, saying that, somewhat controversially, Apple will be replacing the Lightning connector on all three of the new iPhones with a USB-C port.
