You wait all year for an iPhone, and then three come along at once! At least that’s what’s going to happen if a new rumour reported on by AppleInsider today is accurate.
The news comes from the usually very credible Evan Blass, who tweeted the following via his @evleaks Twitter account: “Sounds like iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and 6c will all arrive concurrently.”
AppleInsider notes that Blass has posted several accurate leaks about Apple products previously.
If true, this story definitely backs up several recent rumours, in particular those surrounding the possibility of Apple releasing a successor to the iPhone 5c, which was launched in 2013 but has yet to be updated since.
It’s highly possible that the iPhone 6c will be a repackaged, more colourful version of the iPhone 6, with the same parts, just as the iPhone 5c comprised iPhone 5 parts with a bright plastic casing. It’s expected that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be very similar in design to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and certainly the recent parts and case leaks have indicated this.
