Restoring to Ipad baseband to unlock? is this possible, i have a 3gs with the baseband 05.16.05 and need to unlock sim.

You can only install the iPad baseband if your 3Gs was manufactured before the 35th week of 2011. Also, by updating to the iPad baseband you should be warned that there is about a 95% chance that you will lose GPS functionality and there is no way to downgrade.
