Restoring a phone from a like new reset

So, my boss gives me a new phone that she got from someone else and tells me to reset it but didnt tell me that there were important photos on there that needed to be saved.

So i did a reset as a new phone. But before that i did sync the old phone to my itunes... I was wondering if there was any way that i can recover that data since it was synced just before the wipe....

Im a bit nervous because i do not see the backup files in the library>app support folder but it seems like they would have to be somewhere...

Is there anywhere else i can look for these photos on my computer?
