Readdle’s iPad PDF Expert app has already proved to be very popular on the iPad, so I’m sure that their new iPhone version will be just as successful and useful for many. PDF Expert 2 is the first and only app to fill out PDF forms on the iPhone. All types of Adobe PDF form elements are supported, including editable fields, checkboxes, dropdown lists, and calculated fields, and all work the same way as they do on a desktop computer. The iPhone edition of the professional PDF viewing app also allows users to annotate documents, as well as having a whole host of other professional features, such as Flatten, which embeds annotations and filled form data into PDF files as non-editable page content. These finalised files can then be opened with any iOS viewer, including the iPhone’s official Mail app, so that any iPhone or iPad owner can view the edits without having to have a copy of PDF Expert themselves.

"We redesigned the whole application to bring most advanced capabilities of the iPad edition of PDF Expert to the iPhone," said Igor Zhadanov, founder and CEO of Readdle. "Everything from adding notes to the document to PDF forms filling has been developed with iPhone in mind. As a standalone app it has got everything you need to work with PDF documents, and now you can also collaborate with others thanks to the expanded networking capabilities like two way Dropbox sync or FTP connectivity."
