Possible to lock iPhone to a provider?

I think my question is quite unusual:

I've bought an unlocked Iphone 4G totally legit in Europe. Now I moved to the US and my current company won't let me use the phone because of reliability purposes. They want me to buy a new Sprint locked phone and they will pay my phone plan. This feels very stupid since I have a new phone that works perfectly and payed extra to buy it unlocked.

My question, is there any way to lock my phone to Sprint so there's no reliability purposes?

:/ never heard of this I've heard of unlocking it to all networks but not locking it to a network you can't do it if it can be done your network provider will do it call them

I wouldn't go down that road. Having a factory unlocked iPhone is a great thing and nothing can makes me agree to lock it to a carrier. I would chose other options then.
