PopCap Games announced today launched Zuma’s Revenge! and Zuma’s Revenge! HD for iOS. The former was designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch, while the latter combines the small screen iPhone/iPod touch version with a larger format edition, optimized specifically for the HD iPad screen, in one universal binary installment.

“The frantic ball-shooting action of games in the Zuma franchise have always been some of PopCap’s most loved while always being at the top of the sales charts worldwide,” noted Andrew Stein, director of mobile business development at PopCap. “We’re excited to bring these games to the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch to deliver adaptations that take best advantage of the touch screen capabilities of these awesome devices. We know fans will agree that these are the premier editions of Zuma’s Revenge!”

Both versions of the game feature classic Adventure mode action, with 60 levels and six bosses, plus Challenge mode with all 60 challenges and trophies as well as the ever popular Tiki Temple. The touch-screen capabilities are a first for the Zuma franchise, which has sold over 20 million copies to date, and which puts a fresh twist on the adventures of the ball-blasting frog set in a tropical paradise. All-new Tiki boss enemies make for a climactic ending to each major stage of the game, and introduce various new forms of attack and defense that must be learned and used in order to progress in the game. Looks like another sure-fire winner from the Plants vs. Zombies team!

Thank god it arrived to iPhone.
I've known this game for several years now, since I had my first HTC, a Qtek 9000. Loved the game since it came out, along with bejeweled. Switch from HTC to HTC and game still stuck with me, with HTC x7500, HTC Pro, HTC Pro 2, HTC HD2 and when o switch to iPhone no Zuma to play!!!! Quite disappointing actually...
But now now it's back and I got it :)
