Following on from its Christmas and Halloween special events, Niantic has announced its brand new Valentine’s Day Pokémon Go event, which kicks off today and runs through until 11:00 a.m. PST on February 15, 2017.
Candy is pretty much a given on a holiday such as Valentine’s Day, and that’s exactly what Niantic has done, giving Trainers double Candy for every Pokémon they catch, hatch, or transfer. Your trusty buddy Pokémon will also find Candy twice as fast as usual.
But perhaps best of all, the special Valentine’s event sees an influx of pink Pokémon, which will be appearing more frequently than usual in the wild. This includes the likes of Chansey, Clefable, and even the not-so-cute-but-still-pink Lickitung. Also, cute baby Pokémon such as Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will be more likely to hatch from Eggs.
Finally, Lure Modules will last for 6 hours during the event.
