Pics from iPhone to iPad

How do I keep pics from going automatically to my iPad? I do want to choose pics to send to my iPad but also don’t know how to do that.

Disable iCloud Photo Library and Upload to my Photo Stream to prevent the images from syncing automatically.

Then either share an album with yourself, where you add the images you want to get to the iPad, or share them with your iPad via AirDrop.

If both the iPhone and iPad use the same Apple ID I think that always happens.

That depends on your settings. You can turn it off.
