Phone book in car now dead!

Since downloading ios 5 the phone book in my car hands-free (Range Rover original equipment 2008) no longer works. Can anyone help please?

One has nothing to do with the other. It is simply a coincidence that the events coincide.

Built in Bluetooth devices to car that maintain their own internal phone book only send the phone number across the link when connected. Hence it doesn't matter which version of iOS you are on. I would recommend finding the original manual, perform a full reset of the device and reenter all the data.

I have the "BlueConnect", which may be the system you have, and I had no issues with upgrading iOS (13 updates so far) over the past 8 months.
