ph restore not happening

using win 7 , with latest itunes
im tiring to restore or update 2nd hand iphone 5c.
after clicking the restore or update button , itunes goes threw the update software steps , then it gets to restoring Iphone firmware part and itunes says error code 1 .
I have tried what it says to do lots of times , but still now go .
any ideas please

Connect to iTunes via cable to PC. Turn off PC anti-virus etc. Now try to do the restore.

still no go , had an error of 18 then 4014 then 4013 then back to error 1 then back to error 4013

Error 1 points to a hardware failure. If you've already tried everything suggested by Apple, it's possible that you won't be able to restore this iPhone.

If there's an Apple Retail Store next to you, take it there, and let them have a look at it.
