Personal Hotspot connections

I noticed today that when I plug in my I5 to the USB to sync that there is a blue banner at the top of my screen that says "Personal Hotspot: 1 Connection." I have never seen that before and currently I have nothing connected to it wirelessly. Is there a way to see who or what is connected to your personal Hotspot? In this case it is from the USB being plugged in because it disappears when I unplug but in the future I would like to see what might be connected.

Your computer. If you don't turn Personal Hotspot off, it'll automatically tether your computer when plugged in
