Successful technology brand PADACS today announces the launch in the U.S. and Canada of UltraCharge, a powerful portable power supply unit for charging multiple mobile devices including the iPad and iPhone 4. Costing US$99.95, the PADACS UltraCharge is a 12000mAh (milliampere-hour) lithium polymer battery that can charge two mobile devices simultaneously. Taking four to five hours to charge, it can charge notebooks for 2-4 hours; iPhones for 5-6 hours or the iPad for 15-20 hours.

As well as iPad and iPhone 4, the UltraCharge can charge Pods and PSPs plus mobile handsets from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung, LG and HTC. Covering many mobile devices on the market, the UltraCharge achieves this remarkable range of connectivity through a USB cable with four adapters.

The UltraCharge package contains the mobile accessory charger, a power adapter, a DC output cable, the USB output cable with four adapters (USB to USB; USB to DC; USB to mini USB; and USB to iPhone/iPad) and a travel pouch. Weighing just 0.89 lbs, the PADACS UltraCharge measures 5.9 x 3.15 x 0.95 inches

PADACS founder Raaj Menon said the PADACS UltraCharge solved major problems for people on the move. “The arrival of the iPad means people often have more than one device to charge,” he said.

It’s a real pain to carry about multiple chargers or to mess around sequentially charging devices with a single charger. The UltraCharge gets rid of all that grief in one convenient, portable unit. As well as letting you charge two devices when you’re travelling, it gives your notebook extra running time if you’re on a plane.
“A really nice feature is its intelligent charging, with an LED display showing the power level, so you never overcharge your device. Even better, it means your iPhone battery doesn’t have to go flat again.
