Notification alerts with headphones - any apps to modify?

I have headphones connected all day although they're not always in my ear. If I receive a call, the ringtone sounds through the external speaker AND headphones. Alert tones sound ONLY through the headphones; so, if they are not in my ear, I may not hear it.

Is there an app or tweak to make the alert sounds always come through the external speaker? If there is a tweak, I may start jailbreaking again.

In ios 7 goto settings-> notification center-> scroll down to the app and see if the sound option is turned on
