Not Happy At All With Apple or iPhone

I started having this problem with my iPhone 16 and still have it with the iPhone 17. I only get text sounds from certain people. Unfortunately it is from people I don’t know or don’t care to hear from. I don’t get any text sounds from my family. Just people I don’t know or from spam calls. I usually get over 20 of those a day. Apple Store can’t find the problem and Apple support can’t help either. I am to the point where I really don’t want an iPhone anymore

Well, here is when I am at on this. I have followed what everyone has suggested with no improvement. I talked with AT&T about situation with the phone. I am eligible for an upgrade so I took it. I was wanting a smaller phone anyway. Just got everything loaded back in. While loading things I got a text message from an app I use. Text came through fine. Finally, I got this message straightened out, or so I thought. Had my wife text me and no sound. Just like before. I am wondering if this could be caused by a setting in accessibility? I use hearing aids, so could it be something in those...
