No sim installed notification

I keep getting this msg and have to either reboot or turn off the phone to get it to work. What could be causing this

Try reinserting your sim. Just try to make sure it's "seated" in the tray properly.

this is very annoying problem..
I had this too, but I already fixed it

Turn off your iphone, remove the sim card, wait around 5 minutes, insert the sim card again, and turn it on.

If the problem still occur post here again

i put a piece of tape on the back of it and thats working great.

I've had this happen a number of times. Reboot and remove/reinsert sim seems to work for awhile, but it seems to recur when I go into a no-3G area and get downgraded to EDGE. Ew. Anyone else notice that?
