New to IPhone 4s and confused by Maps

Thanks to all in advance for helping me with my problem. This is a two part question. Using maps I used current location and directions to Jacksonville, Florida. Maps came back with 3 suggested routes. It showed one of three, how do I see the other two? Also, now my maps is still showing the route, how do I reset to get off that route? Thanks!

the thing with maps is that its useless! you will see different coloured lines for the other two routes also a little bubble saying route 2/3..etc and you just move the screen with your fingers to see them
