iOS is not without its flaws. The good thing is the folks behind favorite operating system are quick to their feet, when it comes to fixing any significant bugs that may have been found.

The latest bug being reported has to do with tapping or long-pressing web links in pre-installed and third-party apps. Some users report that press web links in apps like Safari, Chrome, Mail, Notes and more causes the apps the freeze and become unresponsive.

The issue grew larger when folks began updating to iOS 9.3 last week. Devices affected by the bug include the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini. A video of the bug can be seen in the reply.

While Apple has yet to comment or release a fix. Some users have noted that navigating to Settings > Safari > Advanced and disabling JavaScript would fix the issue temporarily.

Developer Ben Collier pointed out that the issue may be related to the Shared Web Credentials daemon, which allows for shared login credentials using Universal Linking. We'll update the article with any updates we find related to the issue.

I have an iPad mini 2 and an iPhone 6s+ both with iOS 9.3 and have not seen this problem at all.
