Name changed on setup!

Hi. When I upgraded to the iPhone 4, on setup my MAC changed the name from mine to "*_" I assume I didn't tick a box somewhere, but can find no way to change it! I had no problem with setting up my iPad or my wife's iPad2, both of which show our names, as does her iPhone 3G (my old one). Can anyone help please?
