This is frustrating! I bought the iPhone 4s late last year with 3, I bought it PAYG so paid over £600 for it. I then got a 3 PAYG sim card.

I now want to move to pay monthly vodafone. So I bought a micro sim from them, got my PAK code from 3 and moved my number over to Vodafone. It went through today, and 3 told me they would close my account which was fine by me.

I now put my vodafone sim in and it requires to re-activate my phone. It says it can't as I need to use a valid sim from my carrier.

Anyway I phoned vodafone up and they told me to phone 3, 3 told me my account is shut down so they can't help. I would have to open a new PAYG account, add £15 credit to it then they can charge me £15 to unlock it. Apparently the money goes to Apple who unlock the phones, they don't take any of it.

I'm on the latest update of iOS. What can I do?

I thought buying the phone for all this money initially meant I wouldn't have these problems! This is very annoying :(

Thanks for any help
