I have a new iPhone SE, software version 15.3.1.
I am not sure if this is the correct form.

I am a Linux user, I do not own a Mac computer.

I want to move audio files (MP3s) from my computer
to my iPhone and be able to play them.

I have figured out how to mount my iPhone under
Linux with the ifuse command.

My questions:

Where do I put my audio files? In what directory?
Can I make my own directory or directories?

What App do I use to then play these files.

I don't want to download audio from iTunes.
I want to move my own audio from my Linux box
to my iPhone and be able to play those files.

Thank you for your help.

I won’t post the link in this forum, but if you search the web, you should easily find where someone was able to play MP3 files on their iPhone by installing the VLC player app that’s been around forever. I have not tried it so I can’t confirm the person’s claim. Good luck to you.

Google shows several options, I am not familiar enough with Linux to know which is the best method but you might find your answer there.
