Mobile Terminal will not work, need help

ok, so my phone is jail broken and i want to change my root password for the obvious security reason but when i download mobile terminal and click on the app to open it, it only open for a second then closes. It does this every time no matter what i do. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, removing it from the multi-tasking bar and restarting. The only thing i can think to do at this point is to reset my phone and try getting it to work then but i really dont want to go through that hassle. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Yeah I had this same problem. I ended up getting another Terminal type program which works fine.

Yeah I had the same problem. Add yourcydiarepo.org to your sources in Cydia and use the mobile terminal in that repository. Alternatively you can ssh into your iPhone and change the root password. Good luck!
