Based on my reading I was under the impression that this app would allow me to tether without having to go through my carrier and pay the $20 per gb they want. Does it not work that way or am I just doing something wrong? Right now it feels like I wasted $20 on it.

The 4s already has wifi hotspot ability so if this doesn't bypass the costs- whats the point?

Should gave got tetherme it can't be detected by tue carrier. Whilen using mywi the carrier can detect you are tethering and will probably automaticly alswitch u to a tethering plan
