Lost Mail and Safari Apps when jailbreaking

I attempted to jail break my IPhone4 running 6.01, and now my "Mail" and "Safari" both hang. I have tried hard reset and full backup but neither worked

It sounds like you rebooted your phone but you have a semi tethered jailbreak. This means you have to boot your phone with redsnow every time it turns off.

Those are two apps that don't work when you are semi tethered until you boot with redsnow.
