Pocket Gamer reports that the wickedly popular console game LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 will be making its iPhone/iPod touch and iPad debut towards the end of this year.
Warner Bros. is so far keeping fairly tight-lipped about whether or not the game will be a full port of the console version, or, like the iPhone LEGO Batman: Gotham City Games, a compilation of mini-games. All that WB has revealed so far is that the game will include new features and gameplay designed specifically to suit the individual strengths of the iPhone and iPad.
If the gameplay does turn out to be the same as the console versions, fans can expect a storyline based on the first four Harry Potter books and movies that tell the story of Harrys first four years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Playing as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, as well as other favourite characters, iPhone and iPad owners will get to experience the magic and adventure of Harry Potter in a new and uniquely LEGO way!
No release date as yet, but hopefully Warner Bros. will be releasing that vital piece of information, as well as more gameplay details, very soon.
