If the latest leaked images of the next generation iPhone are legit, then we now know why Apple has ditched the headphone jack. Besides making the device thinner, Apple is also including a second speaker at the top of the phone to allow for stereo sound.
The leaked images also add extra fuel to the fire on rumors that the next-gen iPhone will have a dual-camera setup. The images clearly show that tech on the back of the device. Of course, for now this is just rumor, because some of these images actually conflict with each other, so at least some of them are fake (or are older prototypes).
If true, it means Apple believes a second speaker is more important to folks than the headphone jack. Considering there are bluetooth headphones which work with the iPhone, they might have a point. What do you folks think? You can see all of the leaked images in the thread below.
