Kanye West may have recently, and famously, tweeted “My album will never never be on Apple,” but it seems that he’s relaxed his stance more than a little on that point, as The Life of Pablo is now available on various other music streaming services as well as Tidal, including Spotify, Google Play Music, and Apple Music. It is still not available to buy on iTunes, however.
Probably the main reason why Kanye has now relented and allowed his music to be streamed on services other than Tidal is because it has already been a huge success on Tidal, with 250 million streams in its first 10 days. It has also been a huge success in terms of pushing Tidal to the top of the U.S. App Store, but Tidal has now had the album exclusively for over a month, and most likely all those who were prompted to sign up to Tidal in order to hear the then-exclusive album have done so, so it makes sense to release it on many more platforms now so that more fans can hear it.
